What is Reiki?
REIKI is a Japanese word for Universal Life Force Energy.
Reiki (pronounced ray key) is an ancient system that can be experienced by either 'hands on' or by distant (remote) healing. The Reiki treatment encourages physical, mental and emotional healing and spiritual growth.
The ability to heal with Reiki is learned by a process of attunements. A person who has been attuned to Reiki has experienced an ancient technology for fine tuning the physical and etheric bodies to a higher vibrational level. The energy centres, the chakras, are opened to enable the person to channel higher amounts of the Reiki energy.
Reiki is drawn through the practitioner, and the recipients body will draw the energy to those parts of their body that require it. A Reiki treatment raises the vibrational frequency of the recipient and clears blockages that disrupt the energy flow.
Reiki helps with deep-rooted physical or emotional issues. It also promotes relaxation and is an excellent treatment for stress relief. You do not need to be ill or distressed to benefit - regular Reiki treatments can help maintain a sense of balance and good health.
Because of the ease with which Reiki can be 'learnt' by a process of attunement, it can also be seen as a powerful means of self-healing on physical and emotional and spiritual levels. It can help bring new insight to problems and issues in daily life.
